![]() ![]() As for the sub's crossover, just set it to the same as the one on your Realtek card so you don't get any dead spots. So you'll want a crossover of around 250Hz to get mid-to-low bass out of those speakers. So that's probably where your powerful bass is coming from out of nowhere because the default cutoff is 60Hz which doesn't make sense as only full range speakers can hit those frequencies, most decent bookshelf speakers usually hit around 80Hz, 60Hz is DEEP bass, but if you have only satellite speakers they'll maybe hit down to 250Hz and even then because of the size of their cone it probably won't be noticeable. ![]() I wanted to clarify that you MUST enable Bass Management and have the proper drivers for your Realtek card, another problem with Realtek cards is that there is no adjustable cutoff frequency for some reason when there used to be and there still is under some Windows 10 installs that I've seen.
